How to Perform The Analysis of Application Documents (CV, Certificates) - Swiss Law
The aim of an analysis of the received application files is to perform a first sorting-out in order to spot the candidates who will be invited for a first interview. Please note that each company owns its own value system as well as specific policies that influence the way in which application documents are interpreted.
In any case, this analysis will rely on the identification of discriminant criteria – i.e. the criteria that are decisive in order to achieve success in the considered position. If but one of these criteria is missing, the candidate will not be retained for the next step of the process, independent of the quality of his/her curriculum.
TOOLS
The analysis of the candidates’ applications is based on the following elements:
- CV
- Statement of interests
- Diploma and other training certificates
- Work certificates
- References (if available)
- Selection grid (discriminant criteria)
